You are standing on one of the places in Hechingen that is the most steeped in history. Once a large Renaissance palace with four wings stood here. You can see before you the Old Palace, which was probably built as an administrative and agricultural building for the palace complex.

Over the course of time it accommodated, amongst other things, the princely chancellery and the princely school. In 1847 the deceased Princess Eugenia lay in state here.

Today the building is home to the State Museum of Hohenzollern. Find out more about the eventful history of the Old Palace and what awaits you in the museum.
